Adoption Links

I tried to get as many Canadian ones as possible. Quite a few are from the States, but do have at least SOMETHING Canadian in/about them (EG. Registries with Canadian posts). If you have a Canadian site that I don't have listed here, please let me know and I'll add it!! :)

IMPORTANT!!
PLEASE READ BEFORE SCROLLING TO THE LINKS!!

Before you decide to post in any registry, make sure to keep something left out that only your birth family would know. This is your "ace-in-the-hole" so to speak, not only to make sure you do have the right person, but - and more importantly!! - also to make sure you're not being scammed. This is why I always tell people to hold some vital bit of information back. Examples could be: if the child was a breach baby, a birthmark, any sort of deformity if the child was born in one city, but adopted out through another, only registering with a partial birth name. If you know the whole birth name, withhold the last name. If you don't have a last name, but have more than one middle name, withhold one. withhold the name of the hospital where the child was born [note that this will only work in a city with more than one hospital] withholding the number of siblings, if known.
